How do I register for the convention in person?
Registering in advance for the NJEA convention will expedite your entry.
You will need:
• An email address.
• Your NJEA Personal Identification Number (PIN). You will find your PIN on your membership card. Your PIN is six characters in a two-letter-two-digit-two-letter combination.
After signing up, you will receive a follow-up email with additional information. Note that people who register in person can also attend virtual sessions. However, you will need your own device. It is recommended that you use a desktop computer or laptop, not a tablet or phone, to attend your virtual workshops.
Where can I pick up my badge for the convention in person?
Go to the second floor of the convention center. Each morning, the first 700 members to collect their badge will receive a $10 lunch voucher that can only be redeemed at the convention center – limit is one voucher per member until limit is reached , and the voucher is only distributed when you first receive your badge.
If I didn’t register in advance, can I still come?
Yes. Be sure to bring your membership card with you. Again, advance registration is recommended to save time upon arrival at the convention center.
I have not received my membership card. How can I be admitted?
There will be a location available at registration for members to verify their membership. Bring photo ID. You can also access an image of your membership card on your phone. Visit njea.org. Once logged in, press “Menu”, then “My NJEA”. (To sign in, use your PIN or the email address you registered with the NJEA as your PIN. Your password is the last four digits of your Social Security number, unless you have changed .
Do I have to register for the workshops in person?
There is no pre-registration to register for in-person workshops. Arrive at your preferred workshop as early as possible to secure your spot. You can select a second choice workshop if your first choice room reaches capacity before your arrival
How do I register for virtual workshops?
Pre-registration is required to register for virtual workshops and to access live streams of keynotes. The workshops listed on pages 21 to 24 of the Congress program will be presented in a virtual format. Three of the four keynote speakers, LeVar Burton, Nyle DiMarco and David Hogg, will be streamed live for members not attending in person. Use the Register button above to register for virtual workshops.
