New Jersey Education Association endorses Tom Malinowski for Congress
(Bridgewater, NJ) The New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) has endorsed Tom Malinowski in its re-election campaign to defend New Jersey’s 7th congressional district. The union chooses to support candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to New Jersey students, public education and working families.
In addition to Congressman Tom Malinowski, the NJEA has endorsed Donald Norcross, Andy Kim, Josh Gottheimer, Frank Pallone, Bill Pascrell, Donald Payne Jr., Mikie Sherrill, and Bonnie Watson Coleman.
“Our union is proud to support these candidates and support them for their re-election. They have demonstrated through their actions that they are defenders of public education and working families. They have supported educators over the past two difficult years as we worked to keep our schools safe and our students learning. Their commitment to fairness and justice for all is exactly what we need in Washington, DC right now and we are committed to working hard for their re-election so they can continue this important work next year. The endorsement of our 200,000-member union comes with our pledge of support on the campaign trail as they make their case to voters and promote a vision to move our state and nation toward a fairer future, fairer and fairer,” said NJEA leaders President Sean M. Spiller, Vice President Steve Beatty and Secretary-Treasurer Petal Robertson
“New Jersey has the best public schools in the country thanks in large part to NJEA advocacy,” Malinowski said. “Supporting our educators is an investment in our children’s future, and I will never stop fighting to ensure they are treated with the dignity they deserve.”
