A Year of Healing – New Jersey Education Association

For the upcoming school year, the Professional Development and Education team invites members to join us in a year of healing. Together, we will learn from the lessons of the pandemic and use them to reframe how we engage with ourselves, our colleagues, our students, and our communities.

Through a combination of statewide virtual events hosted by PDII, coupled with a return to local and county in-person workshops, we aim to provide members with a connected system of professional learning opportunities from high quality that meet current needs in the field.

We strongly recommend that county affiliates work with the NJEA to bring the following in-person series to our members. The PDII Division will also host each subject as a statewide virtual learning opportunity:

This shift is critical to informing not only our classroom instruction, but also our understanding of the impact of negative childhood experiences on the whole.
